Singapore Calling: First Navis Carrier and Vessel Solutions‘ Customer Conference APAC in Singapore

By: Steffi.Karsten / Mon Aug 12 20:27:07 GMT 2019

Singapore has been a place of longing sailors and globetrotters since time immemorial. Ranked 29 of the top 48 most exciting cities in the world, Singapore is for sure THE cleanest, safest and greenest city on earth. Besides a diverse and impressive culinary scene (29 Michelin-starred restaurants in total), the splendid architecture that connects urban with ocean and green landscapes shows the sort of zeal that the new and inventive can expect to meet in Singapore.

Driving connectivity, innovation and talent seem to be the key to sustainable success in the maritime sector. In 2019, Singapore was declared the top leading maritime capital of the world for a fourth consecutive time. With over 5,000 shipping companies, Singapore is the leading International Maritime Centre, connected to more than 600 ports in over 120 countries.

Given its reputation as a premier maritime hub, Singapore is the preferred location for Navis’ maritime unit Carrier and Vessel Solutions (NCVS) to hold its first Customer Conference APAC on September 4 at the Novotel Clarke Quay Hotel.

At the one-day customer and user conference, Navis will bring together industry leaders, ship operators and maritime software experts to discuss industry trends as well as the latest product roadmaps and developments of leading loading computer MACS3, Navis’ stowage planning and collaborative solutions, the fleet performance and environmental compliance software Bluetracker. Navis will also show how its products are embedded in a connected supply chain ecosystem.

There are also some innovative novelties “in the luggage”. Visitors may be curious to learn more about how Navis supercharges the loading computer fostering accessibility and greater visibility of relevant calculation results for stability, dangerous goods and lashing.

Inspirational keynote speaker, the futurist K. D. Adamson, will join the event to share her visionary perspective on the impact of global megatrends, breakthrough technologies and new generational mindsets and how they will radically transform our lives and work environment in the maritime industry in the upcoming years.
